| Reverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the crowned lion rampant of Denmark is depicted facing left, holding a halberd in its right forepaw and a sword in its left, rendered in dynamic high relief characteristic of the hammered speciedaler series. The mintmaster's initials PG (for Poul Grüner) appear in the lower field within the inner circle. The date 16-49 is divided and placed outside the inner circle within the legend field, flanked by a rosette stop. The circumferential legend, separated from the inner circle by a second beaded border, reads the religious motto of the Danish crown. |
