Obverse description Armored and draped bust of King Frederik III facing right, wearing a five-line arched crown with beaded ornament, the royal collar visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in the bold, slightly archaic style characteristic of mid-seventeenth-century Danish hammered coinage. The portrait is contained within a beaded inner ring, with the circular Latin legend running between the inner and outer rims of the coin.
