Obverse description Armored and crowned bust of King Christian IV of Denmark facing right, wearing an ornate breastplate with a ruffled collar visible beneath. A crowned shield bearing the three lions of Denmark is depicted at the base of the bust. The field around the effigy is divided by the legend, with the motto REGNA FIRMAT PIETAS appearing in the inner field flanking the bust. The outer circular legend reads CHRISTIANUS·IIII·D:G:DAN:N:V:G:Q:REX, rendered in Latin script along the coin's periphery.
