Reverse description A large ornate oval escutcheon bearing the quartered arms of Denmark is set upon a cross with elongated arms, the whole encircled by a ring of thirteen smaller roundels each containing the heraldic arms of Danish territories, all enclosed within a pearled inner circle. The Danish royal crown surmounts the composition, cutting through the pearled border at the top. At the base of the cross's lower arm hangs the badge of the Order of the Elephant. The encircling legend appears in the outer field beyond the pearled border.
