Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the nape. The truncation is plain. The circular legend reads FERD·I·D·G·AVSTR·IMP·HVNG·BOH·R·H·N·V·, distributed around the periphery within a beaded border. The mint mark 'A' (Vienna) appears below the bust truncation. The portrait is executed in the classicizing imperial style typical of early nineteenth-century Austrian gold coinage.
