Obverse description Laureate and draped young effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair elaborately styled and bound with a wreath of laurel, with braided coils at the nape. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA: F: D: with the date 1856 positioned in the lower exergue.
