Obverse description Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicting a right-facing draped bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, with a small pearl drop earring visible. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and crown. The circular Latin legend reads ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REGINA · FID · DEF, distributed around the periphery with raised beaded border. The engraver's initials J.C. appear below the truncation of the bust.
