Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing bust of King Norodom I of Cambodia, rendered in high relief with finely engraved facial features in the French academic style characteristic of Jules-Clément Chaplain. The portrait is set within a beaded border with the legend NORODOM I ROI DU CAMBODGE arcing around the upper periphery, and the date 1902 positioned in the lower field beneath the bust.
