| Obverse description | Within a beaded circle, a crowned shield bearing the Oldenburg arms is centrally positioned atop a long-armed cross whose arms extend outward through the beaded border to divide the surrounding legend into four sections. The crown surmounting the shield features four rings. The legend is rendered in uncial Latin characters and reads as the royal titulature of Frederik I. |
