Obverse description Central field occupied by the elaborate royal cipher of Frederick William III, composed of intertwined script initials FWR within an oval cartouche, rendered in a decorative cursive style. The monogram is surmounted by a large Prussian royal crown with arched bands, orbs, and a prominent cross finial. The coin's milled border is visible around the periphery. No additional legend appears on this face, the monogram alone serving as the sovereign's identifier.
