Reverse description Central field displays the Livonian griffin passant, depicted rearing and grasping two crossed swords with its forelegs — the traditional heraldic emblem of Livonia. The figure is rendered in a bold, stylised baroque manner typical of mid-seventeenth-century Swedish provincial coinage. The date, expressed as the last two digits of the year, appears integrated within or alongside the legend. A circumscribed Latin legend naming the denomination and province surrounds the central device, separated from the field by a beaded border.
