Obverse description Central field dominated by the crowned arms of Gorizia, depicting a horizontally striped shield charged with a rampant lion, rendered in Baroque style. The shield is flanked by elaborate acanthus and foliate scroll-work ornaments extending to both sides and base. A royal crown surmounts the escutcheon at the top of the design. The coin border is defined by a continuous inner beaded circle. No peripheral legend appears on this face.
