(Translation: Ferdinand, by God`s grace Prince of Castiglione)
Reverse description Full-length frontal figure of Saint Peter, nimbed and robed, standing within the field. The saint holds a large key in his raised right hand and a second key hangs at his left side, referencing his role as keeper of the heavenly gates. The figure is rendered in the flat, linear style typical of provincial hammered billon coinage of seventeenth-century northern Italy. The circumferential legend, separated by star stops, encircles the entire design.
