| Obverse description | The winged Lion of St. Mark is depicted at left in the field, facing right, while the kneeling figure of the Doge Alvise Mocenigo II appears at right, rendered in a devotional posture and holding a staff surmounted by a cross with a pennant. The numeral '12' appears in the exergue, denoting the denomination in bagattini. The legend encircles the design, rendered in Latin capitals. The composition follows the traditional Venetian votive iconographic schema for soldo coinage of the early eighteenth century. |
