| Reverse description | The reverse features a panoramic view of the Parabolic Arch of Tacna (Arco Parabólico de Tacna), a landmark monument inaugurated in 1959, depicted in the central field with the Cathedral of Tacna visible in the background beneath the arch's sweeping curve. Flanking the arch are the statues of heroes Bolognesi and Grau, identified by their respective inscriptions at the base. To the left, a large numeral '1' and the 'SOL' denomination appear alongside a stylized Peruvian flag. To the right, a rectangular panel bearing the Peruvian national monogram 'IA' (Independencia y Armas) is depicted.
