Obverse description Central field occupied by the interlaced royal cypher of King Christian V of Denmark, composed of two mirrored 'C' characters intertwined around a central 'V', all surmounted by a large royal crown with orb finial. The monogram is rendered in an elaborate Baroque calligraphic style with bold, deeply struck strokes. The coin has a milled or reeded border encircling the design, with no surrounding legend on this side.
