Reverse description Four Chinese characters arranged in a cruciform reading order — top to bottom, right to left — occupy the central field, with a stylized floral rosette at the centre where the characters meet. The characters read 宣統寶藏, meaning 'Xuantong [Emperor's] Precious Tibetan [coin]'. The field is otherwise plain, and the legends are rendered in traditional regular script (kaishu). The plain edge and broad flan are typical of Tibetan copper coinage of this period.
