Reverse description The reverse carries a large central vignette panel with a cross-shaped decorative border of red guilloche lace-work enclosing an oval cartouche. Within the cartouche, the denomination is stated in three languages in letterpress: French, English, and German, each citing "Royaume de Pologne" / "Kingdom of Poland" / "Koenigreich Polen". Large watermark-style numerals "1" appear in pale red on both flanks of the central frame. At the head of the note the Russian denomination is set in bold Cyrillic, and at the foot the Polish denomination is repeated in large Roman letters, with a printed sheet number below the central frame.
