Reverse description Quartered coat of arms of Austria-Burgundy superimposed upon an ornate floriated cross, with the four quarters displaying the dynastic heraldic devices of the Habsburg and Burgundian inheritances. The mint mark appears at the beginning of the circumferential legend, serving to identify the issuing mint. The legend DA MIHI VIR[T]VTE CO HOS[T]ES TVOS encircles the shield, a devotional inscription invoking divine strength against enemies. The overall composition is characteristic of the late Karolus type struck for the Duchy of Brabant under Charles V.
