Reverse description The crowned heraldic lion of the United Provinces occupies the central field within a raised inner beaded circle, displayed on a shield surmounted by an ornate crown with floral finials. The rampant lion faces left, holding a sword and bundle of arrows, rendered in bold relief characteristic of seventeenth-century Dutch hammered coinage. The surrounding legend CONCORDIA · RES · PARVÆ · CRESCVNT runs clockwise between the inner circle and an outer beaded border, with decorative stops separating the legend elements. The overall design is consistent with the standard reverse type of the Dutch Republic Silver Ducat series.
