Obverse description A fully armored knight stands in three-quarter view to the right within a beaded inner circle, his right arm raised with a drawn sword resting over his shoulder and his left hand grasping a bundle of arrows or ribbon. The crowned shield of Utrecht is placed at the knight's feet, and the four-digit date is divided across the lower field by the figure. The encircling Latin legend runs between the inner beaded circle and the outer rim.
