Reverse description The crowned quartered Royal Arms of Great Britain displayed on an ornate shield, bearing the arms of England (three lions passant guardant), Scotland (lion rampant), Ireland (harp), and Hanover (inescutcheon with the Hanoverian arms surmounted by a crown), engraved by Thomas Wyon the Younger. The shield is flanked by foliage and rests upon crossed sceptres or supports, surrounded by the Garter motto HONI SOIT Q MAL Y PENSE in the peripheral legend. A fine toothed border encircles the design.
