| Reverse description | At centre, the Irish harp surmounted by a royal crown occupies the field within a beaded inner circle, flanked by the crowned royal cypher 'E R' (Elizabeth Regina) divided on either side of the harp. The harp is finely engraved with visible strings and decorative forepillar, characteristic of Elizabethan Irish coinage design. The Latin legend POSVI: DEVM: ADIVTOREM: MEVM runs continuously around the outer circumference, with a pellet stop separating the legend. |
