| Obverse description | Central field bears a crowned, composite quartered coat of arms of Maximilian of Bronkhorst, Lord of Batenburg and Steyn, displayed on a Burgundian saltire cross. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate crown and features multiple heraldic quarterings, including lozengy and lion devices associated with the Bronkhorst and Batenburg lordships. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the central design by a beaded inner border. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges typical of early seventeenth-century Low Countries coinage. |
