Obverse description Central field bears a crowned, composite quartered coat of arms of Maximilian of Bronkhorst, Lord of Batenburg and Steyn, displayed on a Burgundian saltire cross. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate crown and features multiple heraldic quarterings, including lozengy and lion devices associated with the Bronkhorst and Batenburg lordships. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the central design by a beaded inner border. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges typical of early seventeenth-century Low Countries coinage.

Reverse description A displayed Imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings fills the central field, each head turned outward and both surmounted by a single shared crown. A globus cruciger (orb and cross) is charged upon the eagle's breast, serving as the imperial symbol of authority. The design references the Holy Roman Imperial eagle, invoking the overlordship of Emperor Matthias I, named in the surrounding Latin legend. A beaded inner border frames the legend, which runs continuously around the periphery of the irregularly shaped hammered flan.
