| Obverse description | At center-right, a large bold numeral '1' rendered in high relief with a three-dimensional, beveled style dominates the field. To the upper left, the State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — is depicted in fine detail. Beneath the emblem, the denomination is inscribed in Hebrew (שקל) above the transliteration 'SHEQEL' in Latin script. Along the lower arc of the dodecagonal flan, the legend reads 'ISRAEL' in Latin, 'ישראל' in Hebrew, and 'اسرائيل' in Arabic, separated by dots, followed by the date '1985' and the Hebrew year 'התשמ״ה'.
