| Obverse description | Central Persian nastaliq legend enclosed within a beaded inner circle, bearing the royal titulature of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The inscription reads 'Al-Sultan Naser al-Din Shah Qajar Tehran' in flowing calligraphic script. The legend is framed by a wreath of stylized floral and foliate branches extending around the inner circle, with the entire design set within a plain outer border. The irregular flan gives the coin its characteristic hand-struck appearance despite being machine-milled. |
