Obverse description Within a raised inner circle, a bold Arabic calligraphic inscription naming Amanullah Khan occupies the central field, with the regnal date 1337 (AH) rendered in Arabic numerals at the base. A border of twelve six-pointed stars in relief surrounds the inner circle, evenly distributed around the periphery. The overall design is executed in a characteristically flat, low-relief style typical of early Amanullah-era Afghan copper coinage.
