Obverse description Central field bears the Shi'a kalima in three lines of bold Arabic Naskh script: the shahada 'La ilaha ill-Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah' in the upper two lines, and 'Ali wali Allah' in the lower line, affirming Ali's spiritual authority. The inscription is enclosed within a double-line circular border, with additional marginal legends visible around the inner border. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered production. The relief is bold and well-struck at center, with some weakness toward the periphery typical of Safavid hammered coinage.
