| Obverse description | An ear of barley depicted in low relief at center, set upon a raised circular disc that stands proud of the surrounding flat field. The grain motif is rendered in the archaic Italic style characteristic of central Italian bronze coinage of the early third century BC. A broad incuse ring frames the raised disc, creating a pronounced concentric border effect. The flan is irregular and thick, consistent with the cast production method employed by the Iguvine mint. |

| Reverse description | Two pellets serving as value marks (denoting the sextans, one-sixth of the as) displayed upon a raised circular disc, accompanied by a cornucopia surrounding the central device. The relief elements are enclosed within a broad incuse ring mirroring the obverse treatment, with the entire composition presented in the bold, schematic style typical of early central Italic cast bronze coinage. The flan surface is rough and uneven, reflecting the sand-casting technique of the period. No legend or inscription appears on this die. |
