Reverse description A Pisan-style Greek cross occupies the central field, its arms terminating in and adorned with globules: twelve globes positioned at the extremities of the four arms and four additional globes at the inter-arm angles, totalling sixteen in all. This ornate cross design is a hallmark of Venetian petty coinage of the period. A Latin legend naming the reigning Doge surrounds the cross between the beaded inner circle and the coin's outer rim.
