Obverse description A stylized rendition of the Philippine flag motif occupies the left field, featuring a radiating sun with eight rays and three five-pointed stars arranged in triangular formation. To the right, the denomination '1 SENTIMO' is inscribed in the field alongside the year of issue and mint mark. The legend 'REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS' arcs across the upper portion of the design. The overall composition is rendered in a clean, modern engraving style characteristic of contemporary Philippine coinage.

Additional information

The 1 Sentimo has been functionally obsolete for years — prices in the Philippines rounded away from centavo denominations long before this issue was struck. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas continued producing it largely to satisfy legal tender requirements and vending machine specifications, not because street commerce had any use for it. By the time this 2017–2019 run was minted, most Filipinos hadn't seen one change hands in a transaction for the better part of a decade.
