| Reverse description | The Imperial chrysanthemum mon, a stylized sixteen-petalled flower, is prominently placed at the top center of the field above the central inscription. The denomination '一錢' (one sen) is inscribed in large Chinese characters in the center of the field. Flanking the central inscription is a decorative wreath composed of hollyhock branches on the left and oak branches on the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. A curved legend above reads '以百枚換一圓' (one hundred pieces exchangeable for one yen), arching beneath the chrysanthemum mon. The design is enclosed within a toothed milled rim. |
