| Obverse description | Central field features a Gothic quatrefoil ornament enclosing a small floral or rosette motif, set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads CHRISTIANVS III D G REX DANIE in Gothic lettering, running along the outer rim between beaded borders. The design is characteristic of the late medieval hammered coinage tradition of the Danish-Holstein mint workshops. The flan shows slight irregularity typical of hand-struck small silver coinage of the period. |
