Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a shield bearing a displayed double-headed eagle, the arms of the city of Lübeck, flanked by three pellets positioned around the shield in the field. A circular Gothic legend in uncial lettering surrounds the design, separated from the central motif by a beaded border. The outer rim is decorated with an alternating leaf and lobe pattern typical of late 14th-century North German hammered coinage.

Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a shield bearing a displayed double-headed eagle, the civic arms of Lübeck, with three pellets placed around the shield in the field. A circular uncial Latin legend frames the central device, enclosed between beaded borders. The irregular flan and the decorative foliate outer border are characteristic of the hammered technique employed in Hanseatic coinage of the late 14th century.
