| Obverse description | Central large foliated cross with a rose at the center and a decorative leaf motif in each angle, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the cross. The circumferential Latin legend reads PAULUS. RAINERIUS. DVX. VENETIAR., identifying the reigning Doge Paolo Renier as Duke of Venice. The design is executed in the refined late-Baroque style characteristic of late Venetian Republic coinage. |
