| Obverse description | Displayed imperial double-headed eagle with wings spread, surmounted by a crown, bearing a plain shield on its breast, all within a raised inner circle. The field is rendered in the Gothic hammered style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Italian feudal coinage. A Latin legend in majuscule letters runs continuously around the periphery between the inner circle and the outer beaded border, citing the names and titles of the two co-ruling Fieschi lords. |
