Obverse description Central large foliated cross with a rose at the center and a leaf in each of the four angles, all contained within a raised circle. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the cross. The surrounding legend is rendered in Latin capitals, naming the Doge Giovanni Bembo and his title. The design is executed in the characteristic late Renaissance Venetian hammered style, with bold, deeply struck relief.
