Obverse description Central field displays the Bolivian national arms: a mountainous landscape with the iconic Cerro Potosí in the center, a llama passant to the left, and a breadfruit tree to the right, surmounted by a radiant sun. A row of nine five-pointed stars arcs along the lower border, separating the central device from the date and mint mark inscription below. The circular legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA is positioned along the upper periphery in Latin characters, with the denomination mark PTS 1S and the date flanking the lower field.
