(Translation: Moneta Archi Episcopus Rigensis Coin of the Arch-bishop of Riga)
Reverse description Central shield bearing two crossed implements — the archiepiscopal cross and crosier — displayed saltire-wise with elongated staffs, set within a beaded inner circle. The composition is characteristic of Livonian ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-sixteenth century, executed in the hammered technique with slight die irregularities. A continuous Latin legend with pellet and dash separators surrounds the central device along the outer border.
