Obverse description Central field displays a crowned two-fold composite shield bearing the arms of Würzburg impaled with the Schönborn family arms, the shield flanked by the divided date. The denomination mark Z8 (indicating 1/28 Thaler) appears below the shield. The design is rendered in a typical German Baroque hammered style of the mid-seventeenth century.
