Reverse description A bipartite shield bearing the quartered arms of Trier and Baden is centrally positioned within a trilobed frame, with two smaller shields of Trier placed at the upper terminations of the trilobe and a stylized floral ornament at the lower point. The composition is framed by the circular legend .MONE.-.NOVA.-.CONF` in Gothic Lombardic script, denoting the coin as a new joint issue. The overall design reflects the collaborative ecclesiastical coinage practice of the late medieval Rhenish mints.
