Obverse description Central field features the interlaced ducal cipher of John Frederick I within a beaded inner circle, flanked by the date 16-22 split across the field. The surrounding legend reads D·G·DVX·IOHAN· in Latin capitals, separated by ornamental stops, all enclosed within a beaded outer border.
