Reverse description Central field displays a quartered or composite heraldic shield set within a beaded inner circle, showing crossed charges — likely the arms of the Bishopric of Dorpat combining episcopal and chapter symbols — surrounded by decorative squiggle ornaments. The shield design features bold, deeply struck Gothic elements consistent with the hammered technique and billon composition of Livonian schillings of this period. A partial Latin circumscription encircles the inner design, reading MONETA · NOVA · TA 4Z, referencing the new coinage of Dorpat. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, as is typical for circulating hammered coinage of Livonia in the 1540s.
