Obverse description A pointed shield with a flat top occupies the central field, bearing the arms of Bishop Jodokus von der Recke — depicted as horizontal bars (tracks) arranged in two rows. The last two digits of the date (44) appear above the shield in the upper field. The shield is surrounded by a circular legend in Latin, separated from the inner device by a beaded border.
