Obverse description Central ornate cross with lily-form terminals divides the field into four quarters, each containing a small waved heraldic shield. At the center of the cross, a waved escutcheon bearing the arms of Waldeck is superimposed. The Latin legend surrounds the design, separated by the arms of the cross. The overall composition reflects the late Gothic heraldic style characteristic of Westphalian ecclesiastical coinage of the early sixteenth century.

Reverse description Two nimbed full-length figures of Saints Peter and Paul stand facing, depicted in Gothic style with fine drapery rendered in high relief. Saint Peter, on the left, holds a large key, while Saint Paul, on the right, holds a sword; between them stands a tall cross staff. The abbreviated names of both apostles appear in the surrounding legend, divided by stops. The date 1535 is placed in the lower exergual area beneath the figures.
