Reverse description A quartered shield displaying the combined arms of Baden and Sponheim, with a diagonal bend sinister in the Baden quarters and a checkered pattern in the Sponheim quarters, set within a beaded inner border. A circular Gothic legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the shield, reading partially as DE CRISTOF MARC or similar, referencing Margrave Christoph of Baden. The hammered flan exhibits slight irregularity characteristic of late 15th-century German coinage.
