Additional information

Christoph Franz von Hutten served as Prince-Bishop of Würzburg from 1724 until his death in 1729 — a reign of barely five years, which keeps his coinage scarce across all denominations. The Schilling was a minor transactional denomination, and few bothered to preserve examples at the time.

Helmschrott 609 is the standard reference point for this type; die alignment and minor legend variations exist within the issue but have not been exhaustively catalogued.
