| Obverse description | Crowned coat of arms of East Frisia occupying the central field, set within a beaded inner circle that divides the mint master's initials (FBP). The armorial shield displays the characteristic Frisian heraldic devices in high relief. A Latin legend commencing at 12 o'clock encircles the design, recording the full titles of the issuing prince: Christianus Eberhardus, Prince and Lord of East Frisia, Lord of Esens, Stedesdorf, and Wittmund. The overall composition is characteristic of late 17th-century German territorial coinage. |
