| Obverse description | A fleur-de-lis rendered in bold relief occupies the central field within a raised inner circle, serving as the heraldic emblem of the Archbishopric of Riga. Surrounding the inner circle is a prominent band of radial tongue-shaped rays, evenly distributed around the circumference, giving the design a sun-burst or wheel-like appearance. The coin is struck uniface as a bracteate, with the entire design impressed on a single thin flan. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Baltic bracteate coinage, with strong, schematic rendering of the central device. No legend or inscription is present. |
