Obverse description Central field displays four Chinese ideograms arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, flanking a decorative floral motif at centre. The entire central design is encircled by a continuous Arabic legend occupying the outer band of the obverse. The bilingual layout reflects the dual Chinese-Uyghur administrative character of Sinkiang Province coinage of the Guangxu reign period.
